Hard to believe we are already in the last three working weeks of the year! 2011 has been a busy one for Zoomedia clients and even now in December our slate of projects shows little sign of slowing down. All of our activity reflects positively on our clients success, many of whom have achieved significant milestones this year. We have also seen new trends emerging across the sector that look set to continue in to 2012. This Christmas, my daughter and I were pleasantly surprised to see that Santa was thinking ahead and left a shiny new Xbox Kinect under the tree.  I had read a little bit about this new entry into the gaming market but had no real first-hand experience with its performance.

When Apple launched the iPad this past April much speculation circulated about its use in the healthcare space. Just two months later we are seeing the first wave of iPads deployed to the field with a hospital in California sending 100 to healthcare workers, and by Otsuka Pharma who doled out 1,300 for their reps to assist in marketing activities. iPads offer an interesting mix of opportunities for healthcare companies that warrant consideration...
