Congratulations - you made it through another JP Morgan Conference!
Whether you attended in person or through webcasts, twitter and blogs, the 30th Annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference kicked off the 2012 lifescience investor season with a flurry of dealmaking activity in and around Union Square, San Francisco.
This was the first year when it was truly possible to participate and follow the action through the Internet with live blogging, company webcasts and a continual stream of tweets coming out of the St Francis meeting rooms. Webcasts are still available for those of you who didn't catch every presentation or need to follow up with a more detailed review of the slides.
This was also the first year when access to the hotel was restricted to badge holders only sending the "under the clock" meetings elsewhere. The spillover was supported by the growing number of conferences and events peripheral to JPM including OneMedForum, the Biotech Showcase, the New Paradigms meeting, and the Global Leaders Healthcare Forum - all with their own meeting space and partnering opportunities catering to various shapes and sizes of investors, partners, biotech and medical device companies. The Kakkis Everylife Foundation also brought patient advocacy and rare diseases into focus with a Sunday evening event that presented an unusual opportunity for advocates, business development and rare disease-focused companies to meet.
Zoomedia clients presenting at one or all of the conferences included Gilead, ARIAD, Regeneron, InterMune, Achillion, Geron, Ambit, Celera, Targacept, Theravance, Medtronic and ArthroCare with many others taking the opportunity to meet back-to-back with potential investors and partners.
Our supporting services included presentation and content development, mechanism of action animations and illustrations, collateral development — fact sheets, investors kits — and of course management of webcast and website updates throughout the week. We also launched new corporate websites for Regeneron, Theravance, Geron and Achillion just in time for all the JPM activity.
So now the crowd is moving on with the upcoming BIO CEO meeting in NY rapidly coming up on February 13-14th.
Now's the time to review what happened at JPM and refine your message for investors and partners - did you get the outcome you wanted? Were your presentations effective? If you need help to get the story across or improve your online presence drop us a line sales@zoomedia.com or call Lily Yang, Business Development Associate on 415-449-9135.
See you all at BIO CEO!
