Job Title: User Interface (UI) Designer
Job Location: San Francisco, CA
Description:
An User Interface (UI) Designer contractor opening for a life science interactive marketing communications company. The UI designer will work closely with engineering, art, and product teams to ensure maximum quality and usability on an interface rich, client-side application.
Position type: contractor
Pay range: $60.00 per hour (for fixed number of hours)
Time frame:
- 150 total hours from November 2011 through March 2012, based on specific milestone deadlines
- Alpha Development (100 hours) | | 14 November 2011 – 03 February 2012
- User Interface Testing (50 hours) | 24 February 2012 – 2 March 2012
Responsibilities:
- Create user flows and interface designs that support user behaviors and make task completion as easy and intuitive as possible
- Understand & leverage the capabilities, limitations and distinguishing features of the platforms we work on to create compelling designs
- Provide design documentation that allows project team members to easily understand the intentions of a design
- Collaborate with artists and illustrators to create production-ready user interface assets
- Work closely with other developers.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills:
- A passionate UI Designer with a wide range of styles and ideas.
- Knowledge of AJAX, DHTML, Photoshop & Illustrator is required.
- Have an eye for detail that is specific, down to the pixel.
