Description:

Job Summary:

  • Transparently support company mission by assisting other departments with their technology needs
  • Support Macintosh and PC workstations
  • Promote the utility, reliability, stability, and security of the Macintosh and PC platforms
  • Provide a high level of customer service

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve support requests
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain software, hardware, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Support software use, including but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, FileMaker, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel Power Point, Access and Outlook, Thunderbird, Entourage, and Windows Server Mac OS X Server
  • Troubleshoot network and remote access connectivity problems
  • Perform general system maintenance and support
  • Produce documentation as needed
  • Train end-users as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • One year of related experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot Mac and PC hardware and Software problems, including problems with workstations, servers, drives, cards, printers, scanners, and other peripherals
  • Proficiency with Mac utilities, and Microsoft Suite of products
  • Understanding of networking standards (TCP/IP, DNS, etc…), IT hardware, and Microsoft-based software/systems.
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Experience supporting end users on Mac, Windows and Linux
  • Ability to follow through on support requests in a timely manner, escalating to other members of the team when appropriate
  • Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently and with other members of a team
  • Ability to lift and carry computers and monitors
  • Ability to communicate technical issues in non-technical terms
  • Proven oral and written communication skills

Job Requirements:

Associates Degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or equivalent experience in general computer installation, maintenance and repair experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
