Zoomedia Teams Up With The Parkinson's Disease Foundation
San Francisco, California - March 26, 2008
We are excited to announce Zoomedia's engagement as the Internet communications partner for the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. Zoomedia's initial engagement includes the redesign of the Parkinson's Disease Foundation current website, PDF.org and the website of the PDtrials campaign, PDtrials.org, a clinical research education awareness initiative led by the Parkinson's Disease Foundation in collaboration with other national Parkinson's organizations.
The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) is a national leader in Parkinson's Disease research, education, and public advocacy. PDF is working for the nearly one million people in the US who live with Parkinson's by funding promising scientific research and supporting people with Parkinson's, their families, and caregivers through educational programs and support services. Since its founding in 1957, PDF has funded over $70 million worth of scientific research in Parkinson's disease, supporting the work of leading scientists throughout the world.
Zoomedia will develop a new online brand expression for PDF.org that broadcasts the mission and vision of the organization as it relates to funding research, providing education to people with Parkinson's and caregivers and supporting advocacy efforts to move the cause forward. The website re-design seeks to engage current and new members of PDF's community, including people with Parkinson's, researchers and scientists, and other healthcare professionals.
The PDtrials campaign helps people living with Parkinson's to learn more and make informed decisions about participating in clinical research. PDtrials.org provides up-to-date information on Parkinson's clinical trials currently enrolling participants in the U.S. The re-design of PDtrials.org will feature updated search functions for clinical trials including a trial locator by zip code - all intended to simplify the process of finding a clinical trial.
