San Francisco, CA - May 29, 2008
2008 started with a pause as clients and the industry, and everyone else, held their breath for a month or two while the market wrestled with the subprime mortgage crisis, its impact on Wall Street, and the economy as whole. During the second quarter however, biotech proved its resilience and our pipeline of projects started to move. Since March, we have been incredibly busy working on product launches, IPO road shows, consumer portals, online marketing campaigns, and patient outreach.
New clients include three non-profit organizations: the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, and the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation. We also engaged with personalized medicine companies Perlegen, Entelos, and DNA Direct. We expanded our services to Cell Therapeutics – creating their new corporate website and developing a new product website for Zevalin®. Bayer and Onyx continue to keep us busy with a Nexavar® product website for international audiences and we are building out medical information sites for the additional Bayer Oncology products.
We’ve also been out in the community presenting panels on clinical trial recruitment, Web 2.0 and how to use the power of social networking within a pharma context. Our next presentation is coming up on June 23rd at the CBI Consumer-Focused Marketing conference in Philadelphia. We’ll be participating with Jamie Heywood from PatientsLikeMe™ in a panel discussion on how Patient-to-Patient interactions through social media will drive treatment decisions in the future.
And finally, last week we launched our own new website www.zoomedia.com featuring a comprehensive portfolio, whitepapers, blogs and industry news. The website allows our clients to comment on blogs, download whitepapers, access our industry del.icio.us feed, and get a snapshot of what we are working on by following us on Twitter. Sign up on the website for our Zoomedia newsletter and our Hype & Hope www.hypeandhope.com industry news on stem cells, clinical trials, and personalized medicine.
